Marche-en-Famenne is a small town with all the makings of a large one. It takes less than 20 minutes to walk through. It offers a full range of sports facilities (swimming pool, tennis, athletics, football, etc.), entertainment and leisure activities. Its centre offers a large pedestrian area, museums and various exhibitions. It's a very pleasant town to walk and stroll around.
If you're a nature-lover, you'll need 10 minutes on foot to reach the first forests.

Events : 
Statues en Marche, the bird market, the carnival, the music festival, the Christmas market and the Marchois festival are just some of the festive events held in the town throughout the year.

Marche is also a very active commercial centre, with trade fairs at the WEX and the winegrowers' fair.

A UNESCO Global Geopark is a label awarded by UNESCO to an area that presents and promotes a geological heritage of international importance.

It aims to promote the sustainable development of a region. UNESCO promotes the reappropriation of natural and cultural heritage by local people.

The Famenne-Ardenne Geopark is therefore showcasing its geological sites. The whole region is involved, both the sites themselves and the partners who promote them. On the Geopark website, you'll find walks, round trips, ideas for holidays etc. A goldmine for nature lovers!
